Soup’s on!

I love soup especially cream soups.

Here’s Potato and Mushroom cream soup… my very own recipe!
3 cups organic chicken broth
3 cups skim milk
1 giant heaping tablespoon sour cream
5 large baking potatoes
5 radish
8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
1/2 a purple onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
s&p to taste
3 tsp Italian seasoning (at least)

Bake potatoes in microwave. Get out the crock pot. Cut potatoes into bite chunks. Put everything in Crock pot. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours. Serve in bowls with cheese on top and crusty bread for sopping! Mmm Mmm Mmm! SO DELICIOUS!

Coffee Cake Candy

This recipe was tested by Charles, The king of Coffee Cake!   We made coffee cake but were really after the topping.  To save you the trial and error we went through… here it is! Oh and we made a double batch of toppings.  We left the extras in the fridge, covered, and chip away at it like hard/crumbly candy.

One box of white cake mix

Six tablespoons of melted butter

A half cup of brown sugar

A teaspoon of cinnamon

One and a half tsp vanilla

Bake the cake according to package directions.  Meanwhile mix the other ingredients.  Spoon 1/2 of the toppings onto the white cake while still hot.  Reserve the rest for candy crumbles.  Mmm Mmm MMmmmm!
